Romi (ROMI3) reported that on October 23, 2026 it received a notice from the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce regarding a request to initiate an arbitration proceeding filed by GE Energias Renováveis Ltda., involving indemnification claims to which GE assigned an estimated value of US$ 20,000,000.00 (twenty million dollars). According to the company, this amount was estimated unilaterally by GE and, given the early stage of the proceeding, does not represent an obligation recognized by Romi.
In the context of the same commercial relationship with GE, Romi reported that in July 2026 it filed a collection lawsuit against GE, pending before the 1st Civil Court of the Judicial District of Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, to collect receivables it believes are owed, in the amount of R$ 28,325,585.81 (twenty-eight million, three hundred twenty-five thousand, five hundred eighty-five reais and eighty-one cents), updated through August 31, 2026 according to the standard index table of the São Paulo State Court of Justice.
The company also stated that, in its own assessment and that of its advisors, the claims put forward by GE lack legal grounds and are not supported by the applicable contractual instruments. Romi said it will take the appropriate measures to defend its interests and, subject to the confidentiality rules of the arbitration proceeding, will keep its shareholders and the market informed of any material developments.
