Motiva Infraestrutura de Mobilidade S.A. (MOTV3) reported on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, that its subsidiaries have executed agreements to enable Self-Generation of Energy by Lease through a consortium with the Special Purpose Entity Central Solar Novo Oriente VI S.A., owned by EDP Renováveis Brasil S.A. The agreements include Lease, Operation and Maintenance, and Consortium contracts, with a term of 15 years.
The Novo Oriente VI solar plant, located in the State of São Paulo, has an installed capacity of 33.7 MW and is already in commercial operation, with energy supply to the subsidiaries scheduled to begin in early 2027. The project will supply approximately 9 MWm (nine average megawatts) of renewable energy to urban mobility and highway assets, covering about 15% of Grupo Motiva’s consolidated annual power consumption.
The closing of the transaction is still subject to the fulfillment of customary conditions precedent for this type of deal, including approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE). According to the company, the initiative is aligned with its strategy of increasing the use of renewable sources, diversifying its energy supply, seeking greater long-term cost predictability, reducing exposure to fluctuations in the energy market, and strengthening Motiva’s environmental commitments.
