On Thursday, October 29, 2026, Braskem (BRKM5) released its preliminary production and sales report for the third quarter of 2026 (3Q26), with data not reviewed by an independent auditor. In the Brazil segment, the ethylene utilization rate was 69%, compared with 70% in 2Q26 and 65% in 3Q25, while resin sales totaled 854 kt, an increase of 12% versus 2Q26 and 9% versus 3Q25.
In the Brazilian market, the increase in resin sales compared with 2Q26 and 3Q25 is attributed to the execution of the commercial strategy focused on expanding market share in priority segments. Resin exports reached 240 kt, an increase of 37% over 2Q26 and 5% compared with 3Q25, influenced by the higher volume available for export.
Sales of Key Chemicals in Brazil totaled 574 kt, a decrease of 4% versus 2Q26 and 18% compared with 3Q25, impacted mainly by the lower volume of gasoline, benzene, and paraxylene. Meanwhile, exports of Key Chemicals came to 67 kt, increases of 11% versus 2Q26 and 56% versus 3Q25, driven by higher product availability for sale and by specific commercial opportunities.
In the United States and Europe segment, the utilization rate of polypropylene (PP) plants was 74% in 3Q26, compared with 76% in 2Q26 and 79% in 3Q25, reflecting lower production volume in Europe due to a weather event that restricted propylene availability. PP sales were 489 kt, down 2% compared with 2Q26 and practically stable versus 3Q25.
In Mexico, the utilization rate of polyethylene (PE) plants reached 62% in 3Q26, versus 43% in 2Q26 and 47% in 3Q25, supported by a higher volume of imported ethane and increased ethane supply from PEMEX. PE sales in the country were 159 kt, an expansion of 28% versus 2Q26 and 9% compared with 3Q25, in line with the greater product availability for sale.
