Equatorial Energia (EQTL3) released on Thursday, October 29, 2026, its preliminary and unaudited 3Q26 operational report. In the period, the company recorded 9.7% growth in gross energy injected in its distribution concessions, while consolidated net generation from renewable assets reached 1,507.9 GWh, an increase of 14.3% compared to 3Q25.
The increase in injected energy was driven mainly by the residential, commercial, rural and public sector classes, as well as by the growth of distributed micro and mini generation (MMGD). The quarter was marked by more intense weather conditions associated with the El Niño phenomenon, which contributed to higher consumption. Wire Market B, which reflects the market for use of the distribution grid, grew 4.9%, with highlights for Amapá (11.4%), Alagoas (11%), Pará (7.1%), Goiás (4.9%), Maranhão (4.7%) and Piauí (4.2%).
In the renewables area, the consolidated net generation of 1,507.9 GWh in 3Q26 resulted from a generation potential of 1,862.0 GWh and a lower incidence of constrained-off (down 34.8% versus 3Q25). The effects of constrained-off represented about 354 GWh, or 19% of generation potential, compared to 29.2% in the same quarter of the previous year, reflecting better conditions for dispatching the portfolio’s energy.
In the distribution segment, consolidated 12-month losses stood at 18.1% in 3Q26, an increase of 0.1 percentage point (p.p.) versus 3Q25 and 0.2 p.p. versus 2Q26. Even with this increase, the index remains 0.8 p.p. below the regulatory level of 18.9%. There was a reduction in losses compared to 3Q25 at CEA (-2.5 p.p.), Equatorial Maranhão and Alagoas (-0.5 p.p. each) and Equatorial Piauí (-0.3 p.p.), and five distributors operate below the regulatory limit: Maranhão, Piauí, Alagoas, Amapá and Goiás.
In sanitation, 3Q26 ended with around 92.3 thousand billed water connections, of which 19.6 thousand were also served by sewage collection and treatment. The volume of billed water totaled 5,031.5 thousand m³, a 7.7% drop year over year, influenced by the reduction in billed connections and the advance of metering. Meanwhile, the billed sewage volume grew 7.1%, reaching 1,137 thousand m³, with coverage ratios of 71.7% for water supply and 15.5% for sewage. The water distribution loss index stood at 67.8%, an increase of 4.9 p.p. in relation to 3Q25.
