Petrobras (PETR4) reported record total own output in the third quarter of 2026 of 3.512 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MMboed) of oil, NGL and natural gas, up 11.7% versus 3Q25 and 5.3% compared with 2Q26. The increase was attributed to the highest production efficiency level in eight years, the ramp-up of FPSO platforms P-78 and P-79 in the Búzios field, peak output from the FPSO Alexandre de Gusmão in the Mero field, and a lower volume of losses due to maintenance shutdowns.

In the period, oil production in the pre-salt reached 2,454 thousand barrels per day (mbpd), growth of 6.7% compared with 2Q26, while total operated production reached 5.082 MMboed. Own production in the pre-salt totaled 2.96 MMboed and the Associated Gas Utilization Index (IUGA) hit a record 98.3%, above the 98.1% in 4Q25. During the quarter, 12 new production wells came on stream, 6 in the Campos Basin and 6 in the Santos Basin.

In the Refining, Transport and Marketing segment, sales of oil products in the domestic market totaled 1,854 mbpd in 3Q26, an increase of 6.4% versus 2Q26 and 2.8% compared with 3Q25, driven by diesel, whose sales rose 14.4% in the quarter, and by aviation kerosene (QAV), up 9.9%. Exports of oil and oil products hit a record 1,251 mbpd in 3Q26, while net exports came to 918 mbpd, 14.6% below the previous quarter due to a 114.1% increase in imports.

Total oil products output reached 1,873 mbpd in 3Q26, 4.6% above 3Q25 and 2.3% below 2Q26, influenced by scheduled maintenance shutdowns at RPBC. There was a quarterly record for diesel production of 769 mbpd and a monthly record in July of 792 mbpd. The total utilization factor of the refining system was 99%, 5 percentage points higher than in 3Q25, with middle distillates (diesel and QAV) and gasoline accounting for 68% of the volume produced.

In the gas and low-carbon energy business, the volume of natural gas sold and used for internal consumption was 47 million cubic meters per day in 3Q26, up 4.4% versus 2Q26, supported by higher domestic gas supply and stronger thermoelectric demand. Operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from oil and gas activities totaled 37.5 million tons of CO₂ equivalent in the first nine months of 2026, versus 35.0 million tons in 9M25, while emissions intensity in E&P fell to 14.1 kgCO₂e per boe produced in 9M26, from 14.7 kgCO₂e in 2025.
