On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Raízen S.A. (RAIZ4) reported that SPX Gestão de Recursos Ltda. increased its stake in the company and now manages 71,354,652 preferred shares, which corresponds to 5.25% of the total number of shares issued by the company.
In a letter sent to Raízen, SPX detailed that the funds it manages carried out transactions over the last few days that resulted in this increase in its position in RAIZ4 preferred shares. The asset manager also reported holding a short position in 712,367 cash-settled derivative financial instruments backed by the company’s preferred shares.
SPX further reported that there are no agreements or contracts governing the exercise of voting rights or the purchase and sale of securities issued by Raízen by the funds under its management, and stated that the acquisitions are not intended to change the company’s control structure or management structure.
