Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica S.A. (TAESA; TAEE3, TAEE4 and TAEE11) reported this Thursday, August 20, 2026, that the energization of the Garabi 2 Converter, within the scope of the retrofit project of the Saíra Transmissora de Energia Elétrica S.A. concession, will add approximately R$ 24.2 million to its Annual Permitted Revenue (RAP, the fixed regulated revenue of transmission companies) in the 2026-2027 cycle, an amount already including PIS/COFINS and equivalent to 12.0% of the concession’s total RAP, with retroactive effects as of August 7, 2026.
According to the company, the Saíra project was already partially operational, with enabled RAP of approximately R$ 171.7 million in the 2026-2027 cycle, also already including PIS/COFINS. With the new energization, Saíra’s enabled RAP totals approximately R$ 195.9 million in the 2026-2027 cycle, already including PIS/COFINS, which represents 97.5% of the concession’s total RAP, estimated at R$ 200.8 million for the period.
The Saíra project, corresponding to lot 5 of transmission auction no. 02/2022 held in December 2022, is 100% controlled by TAESA, has ANEEL Capex of R$ 1,176 million and is located in the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, with approximately 743 km of transmission lines and three substations. The Garabi substation is a back-to-back converter that enables the export and import of electric power to Argentina.
