Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica S.A. (Taesa; TAEE3, TAEE4 and TAEE11) reported on Monday, August 17, 2026, that the National Electric System Operator issued the release terms for the energization of the synchronous compensator at the Encruzo Novo substation, under the Tangará Transmissora de Energia Elétrica S.A. (Tangará) concession. With this energization, Tangará will add approximately R$ 5.4 million to its Allowed Annual Revenue (RAP) in the 2026-2027 cycle, already including PIS/COFINS, equivalent to 4.7% of the project’s total RAP, with retroactive effect as of August 3, 2026.

According to the company, the Tangará project was already partially operational, with enabled RAP of around R$ 104.5 million in the 2026-2027 cycle, as disclosed in notices released in March, April, May and August 2026. After the new energization, this amount totals approximately R$ 109.8 million, already including PIS/COFINS, which represents 96.8% of the project’s total RAP.

The project is located between the states of Maranhão and Pará and reinforces the transmission grid in the North and Northeast regions. With more than 265 km of transmission lines, 72 km of which are double circuit, and the simultaneous implementation of multiple substations at different voltage levels, the project involved logistics challenges. Partial delivery took place between 25 and 20 months before the regulatory deadline set by ANEEL, in March 2028.

Tangará is part of lot 3 of transmission auction no. 02/2022, held in December 2022, and is 100% controlled by Taesa. The project has total RAP of R$ 113.4 million for the 2026-2027 cycle, already including PIS/COFINS, and ANEEL Capex of R$ 1,117 million.
