Banco do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (Banrisul; BRSR3, BRSR5, BRSR6) reported net income of R$ 325.4 mn in the second quarter of 2026 (2Q26), totaling R$ 547.0 mn in the first half of 2026 (1H26). Return on average equity (ROAE) reached 11.4% in 2Q26 and 9.6% in 1H26.

For comparison, net income was R$ 377.7 mn in 2Q25 and R$ 221.6 mn in 1Q26, while in the first half of 2025 (1H25) it had totaled R$ 619.2 mn. ROAE was 14.3% in 2Q25, 7.9% in 1Q26 and 11.8% in 1H25.

The net interest income totaled R$ 1,622.1 mn in 2Q26, versus R$ 1,735.8 mn in 1Q26 and R$ 1,640.6 mn in 2Q25, adding up to R$ 3,357.9 mn in 1H26, compared with R$ 3,182.9 mn in 1H25. Risk-adjusted net interest income, which deducts provision expenses net of recoveries of loans written off as losses, was R$ 1,357.1 mn in 2Q26 and R$ 2,550.5 mn in 1H26, versus R$ 1,456.3 mn in 2Q25 and R$ 2,663.9 mn in 1H25.

Banrisul’s loan portfolio totaled R$ 64.4 bn in June 2026, up 0.7% in 12 months and 0.2% in three months, with a composition of 44% individuals, 17% corporates, 20% rural, 11% real estate, 4% long term and 5% foreign exchange. Total funding reached R$ 116.8 bn in June 2026, an increase of 12.2% in 12 months and 5.0% in three months.

In its 2026 guidance, Banrisul revised the total loan portfolio growth range from 3%–8% to 2%–7%, net interest income from 8%–13% to 5%–10% and cost of credit (provision expenses net of recoveries of loans written off as losses in relation to the portfolio) from 1.2%–2.2% to 1.5%–2.5%, while maintaining the projection of a 5%–9% increase for administrative expenses, excluding commissions paid to banking correspondents and employee profit sharing.
