Grupo Energisa (ENGI3) reported that consolidated electricity consumption in its concession areas, combining captive and free markets, reached 3,599 GWh in July 2026, an increase of 7.5% compared to the same month in 2025. The performance was driven mainly by the residential and commercial classes, influenced by the expansion of the consumer base, higher income, a heated labor market, and hotter and drier weather conditions, which increased the need for cooling.

In the year to date for 2026, electricity consumption in the captive and free markets totaled 25,616 GWh, up 4.4% versus the same period in 2025. Growth was supported by the residential, commercial, and industrial classes, reflecting the addition of new loads, the strong performance of the food and minerals chains, weather conditions favorable to consumption, and meter-reading calendar effects. All nine distributors of Grupo Energisa posted higher consumption in the period.

By region, in July 2026, the Midwest (EMT and EMS) totaled 1,460 GWh, up 9.0%, the Northeast (EPB and ESE) reached 818 GWh, an increase of 7.7%, the North (ETO, EAC, and ERO) recorded 751 GWh, growth of 7.4%, and the South/Southeast (EMR and ESS) totaled 570 GWh, a 3.6% rise compared to July 2025. Year-to-date in 2026, consumption came to 10,504 GWh (+5.7%) in the Midwest, 5,917 GWh (+4.4%) in the Northeast, 5,022 GWh (+3.9%) in the North, and 4,172 GWh (+2.1%) in the South/Southeast.

The report also presented preliminary data on total energy losses, considering the 12 months through July 2026. For Energisa on a consolidated basis, losses stood at 12.37% of injected energy, compared with 12.28% in 2Q26, with individual percentages by distributor ranging from 6.40% at ESS to 19.86% at ERO, figures compared with the regulatory limits set by ANEEL.
