Americanas (AMER3), which is under court-supervised reorganization, reported on Monday, July 27, 2026, that Arbitration Proceeding 236/23, underway at the Câmara de Arbitragem do Mercado (CAM), was terminated on July 16, 2026, after a withdrawal request filed by the Claimants, without a ruling on the merits.

In its decision, CAM ordered the Claimants to reimburse Americanas for the expenses incurred with the arbitration, including administrative fees, arbitrators' fees, and the fees of the Challenge Committee. Requests for the Claimants to also bear contractual attorneys’ fees, court-awarded attorney fees, and a penalty for bad-faith litigation were denied. The decision is still subject to requests for clarification.
