At the end of Tuesday’s session, the Ibovespa closed up 1.17% at 187,366.84 points, while shares of Paranapanema (PMAM3) advanced 53.13% to R$ 0.49, and Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) retreated 10.22%, quoted at R$ 1.23. In the closing auctions, PMAM3 consolidated itself as the day’s biggest gainer, while ONCO3 ended as the biggest loser of the day on B3.
Since the last updates of this session, Paranapanema extended its gains: PMAM3 went from +40.63% to +53.13%, with the price moving from R$ 0.44 to R$ 0.49 at the close. Among the other top risers, Simpar (SIMH3) ended the day at R$ 8.33, up 7.90%; Armac (ARML3) closed at R$ 4.13, a gain of 7.55%; Helbor Empreendimentos (HBOR3) finished at R$ 2.22, up 7.25%; and Viveo (VVEO3) closed at R$ 0.81, an advance of 6.58%.
On the downside, Oncoclínicas deepened its loss compared with the last reading of the afternoon, when ONCO3 was down 8.76%, and ended the session with a 10.22% decline at R$ 1.23. Portobello (PTBL3), which earlier was falling 9.60%, closed at R$ 1.53, down 8.38%. Casas Bahia (BHIA3) ended the day at R$ 0.64, a drop of 7.25%. Alpargatas (ALPA4) closed quoted at R$ 13.05, a decrease of 3.83%, while LWSA (LWSA3) finished the session at R$ 4.06, down 3.79%.
With these performances, today’s session on B3 ended with the Ibovespa higher and marked by volatility among small caps, especially PMAM3 on the positive side and ONCO3 among the biggest losers of the day.
