On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Embraer (EMBJ3) reported that Spanish airline Binter placed a new firm order for five E195-E2 aircraft, with four additional purchase rights, during the Farnborough Airshow in the United Kingdom. The model has been used by Binter for flights connecting the Canary Islands to destinations in Spain and other countries.
According to Embraer, the E195-E2 combines low operating costs with a superior passenger experience, with range and capacity considered well suited to Binter’s route network. All of the airline’s E2 jets operate in a single-class configuration with 132 seats, maintaining Embraer’s 2x2 layout with no middle seat, and an interior described as spacious and quiet.
Embraer highlights that the E195-E2 is the largest model in the E-Jets E2 family and is recognized for efficiency, emissions reduction and fuel savings, the result of advanced aerodynamics, new-generation engines and modern systems. The Brazilian manufacturer states that Binter has become a benchmark in operations with the E2 family and that this is the airline’s fourth firm order for the model.
