Light S.A. – under Judicial Reorganization (LIGT3) reported that on September 17, 2026, its subsidiary Light Serviços de Eletricidade S.A. (Light Sesa) had its credit ratings upgraded by Standard & Poor's Ratings do Brasil Ltda. (S&P), on the Brazil National Scale.
S&P raised Light Sesa’s long-term issuer credit rating from 'D' to 'brBB+' and its short-term issuer credit rating from 'D' to 'brB'. The ratings on Light Sesa’s senior unsecured debentures (debt securities issued by companies) were also upgraded from 'D' to 'brBB+'.
Additionally, S&P assigned a 'brBB+' rating to Light Sesa’s 9th and 21st debenture issuances. The Outlook assigned to the ratings is Stable.
According to S&P, the upgrade reflects the completion of the judicial reorganization process and the strengthening of the capital structure, resulting from deleveraging through debt conversion and a capital increase. Further details are provided in a report released by the agency.
