On Wednesday afternoon, the Ibovespa was down 0.59%, at 185,394.66 points, in line with the negative moves seen earlier. Among the biggest intraday movers, shares of Taurus (TASA4) were up 7.99%, at R$ 7.30, while Braskem (BRKM5) was down 15.17%, quoted at R$ 4.53, remaining the biggest decline of the session so far.

On the gainers’ side, in addition to TASA4, Paranapanema (PMAM3) advanced 7.69%, trading at R$ 0.42, after posting sharper swings earlier in the session. Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) also ranked among the day’s top performers, up 5.75%, at R$ 5.89. Next came Recrusul (RCSL4), which gained 5.26%, at R$ 0.40, and União Pet Participações (AUAU3), up 5.04%, at R$ 4.17.

On the losers’ side, after BRKM5, Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV3) fell 9.84%, to R$ 7.15, extending a series of adjustments after recent weak performance on B3. OranjeBTC (OBTC3) dropped 7.86%, to R$ 6.33, on a day of continued volatility following the announcement in recent days of a reduction in a relevant stake. Gafisa (GFSA3) lost 7.69%, trading at R$ 0.24, while OceanPact (OPCT3) declined 7.21%, quoted at R$ 10.43, rounding out the group of the five biggest intraday declines in the final stretch of the session.

Compared with earlier updates in this session, the Ibovespa widened its loss, from 0.32% in the previous reading to the current 0.59%. On the corporate front, PMAM3 pared part of its gains after having jumped as much as 38.46% earlier, while BRKM5 deepened its losses compared with the previous intraday drops of 13.5% and 14.04% recorded throughout the afternoon.
