On Wednesday afternoon, the Ibovespa was down 0.24% at 186,061.68 points, maintaining a negative bias compared to earlier partial readings in the session. Among the biggest intraday moves, Paranapanema (PMAM3) was up 20.51% at R$ 0.47, while Braskem (BRKM5) was down 13.48% at R$ 4.62.
Compared to the highs already seen throughout the trading session, PMAM3 gave back part of the gains from earlier, when it had jumped as much as 38.46%, but it remained the top gainer of the day, quoted at R$ 0.47 (+20.51%). Recrusul (RCSL4), which had appeared in earlier highlights with gains of 5.26% and 2.63%, accelerated its advance to 10.53%, trading at R$ 0.42. Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) was up 6.28% at R$ 5.92, followed by Armac (ARML3), up 5.32% at R$ 3.96, and Taurus (TASA4), which gained 4.73% to R$ 7.08.
On the downside, BRKM5 deepened the losses seen in the latest updates of the session: after falling 12.92% and then 13.67% at earlier moments in the trading day, the stock was trading at R$ 4.62, down 13.48%. Among the other biggest losers, OranjeBTC (OBTC3) was at R$ 6.32, down 8.01%; Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV3) dropped 7.82% to R$ 7.31; Gafisa (GFSA3) retreated 7.69% to R$ 0.24; and OceanPact (OPCT3) lost 6.23%, quoted at R$ 10.54.
As a result, in the 2:45 p.m. snapshot, the Ibovespa remained in negative territory, while PMAM3 was still the top gainer and BRKM5 the biggest loser of the session, both maintaining their prominence among the highlights of today’s trading on B3.
