At the end of Tuesday’s session, the Ibovespa closed up 0.45% at 187,422.92 points, while shares of Casas Bahia (BHIA3) ended the trading day at R$ 0.99, advancing 10.00%. On the opposite side, Taurus (TASA4) shares finished the day at R$ 8.12, down 10.67%, ranking among the biggest losers on B3.
On the list of the day’s top gainers, in addition to BHIA3, Alpargatas (ALPA4) stood out, closing at R$ 13.80, up 4.70%. LWSA (LWSA3) also advanced, ending the session at R$ 4.17, a gain of 4.51%. Among the lower-priced stocks, Gafisa (GFSA3) closed at R$ 0.26, up 4.00%, while Triunfo (TPIS3) finished at R$ 10.86, an increase of 3.92%.
On the downside, besides TASA4, Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV3) ended the session at R$ 7.30, a drop of 9.88%. Paranapanema (PMAM3) closed at R$ 0.38, down 7.32%, followed by Portobello (PTBL3), which closed at R$ 1.59, a decline of 5.92%. Among healthcare companies, Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) ended the day at R$ 1.24, posting a loss of 5.34%.
Compared with earlier updates in this session, BHIA3 maintained the positive variation of 10.00% seen in the last intraday records, with a closing price of R$ 0.99. TASA4, in turn, pared part of the losses seen throughout the day, moving from a 15.51% drop at a previous moment to a 10.67% decline at the close, at R$ 8.12. The Ibovespa, which had fluctuated between slight losses and moderate gains during the session, finally ended in positive territory, up 0.45%.
