WEG (WEGE3) reported in a notice on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, that its Board of Directors approved changes to the executives’ succession plan, with a change in the Transmission and Distribution vice presidency starting in 2027.

Carlos Diether Prinz will leave the position of Vice President of Transmission and Distribution on December 31, 2026, closing out a tenure of more than 41 years at the WEG Group.

As his successor, the company has appointed Sérgio Augusto Scarpinelli, who will assume the vice presidency of Transmission and Distribution on January 1, 2027. The executive has been with the WEG Group for more than 22 years and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission and Distribution operation in Mexico.

According to the notice, the changes will be formalized by the Board of Directors on the date they take effect, along with the respective public filings.
