B3 (B3SA3) released on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, its operating highlights for August 2026. The average daily financial volume in equities, combining the cash market, forwards, equity futures and options, reached R$ 30.3 bn in the month, an increase of 26.1% compared to August 2025 and 33.8% versus July 2026. Market turnover was 145.9% in August 2026, compared with 133.5% in August 2025 and 107.7% in July 2026.
In equities, the cash market recorded an average daily financial volume of R$ 28.8 bn in August 2026, up 25.3% compared to August 2025 and 32.5% versus July 2026. The options market totaled R$ 1.3 bn, growth of 75.6% year over year and 71.1% compared to the previous month, while the forwards and equity futures market came to R$ 186 mn, a decline of 34.6% versus August 2025, but an increase of 37.7% on a monthly comparison.
In the listed derivatives segment, average daily volume totaled 9,608 thousand contracts in August 2026, an increase of 3.3% compared to August 2025 and 10.5% versus July 2026. BRL interest rate contracts reached 4,826 thousand, up 10.6% in a year and 14.6% compared to the previous month, while index derivatives reached 3,381 thousand contracts, growth of 11.4% year over year and 6.9% month over month. Cryptoasset futures recorded 304 thousand contracts, a drop of 59.3% in a year, but an increase of 6.2% versus July 2026.
Average revenue per contract (RPC) for derivatives was R$ 1.188 in August 2026, below the R$ 1.363 in August 2025 and the R$ 1.223 in July 2026. In OTC derivatives, new issuances totaled R$ 1.946 tn, growth of 46.1% compared to August 2025 and 38.1% versus July 2026, with an outstanding volume of R$ 9.473 tn, up 14.7% year over year.
In fixed income and credit, new issuances reached R$ 2.162 tn in August 2026, slightly above the R$ 2.151 tn in August 2025 and 1.8% higher than in July 2026, with an outstanding volume of R$ 9.994 tn, an increase of 14.8% in one year. Tesouro Direto had an outstanding volume of R$ 252 bn, up 41.6% compared to August 2025. B3 also reported a total of 6,675,799 accounts at the cash market depository, including 5,820,444 individual investors (CPFs), increases of 8.1% and 8.3%, respectively, in 12 months.
