WEG (WEGE3) reported EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of R$ 2.2 bn in the second quarter of 2026, a 2.1% decline compared to 2Q25, with an EBITDA margin of 21.8%. Net operating revenue totaled R$ 10.1 bn in the period, a 0.6% drop versus the same quarter of the previous year.

Return on invested capital reached 33.6% in 2Q26, an increase of 0.7 percentage point compared to 32.9% in 2Q25. Operating profit after taxes for the last 12 months fell 1.3% year over year, while average invested capital for the last four quarters decreased 3.3% versus 2Q25.

By business area in 2Q26, Industrial Electro-electronic Equipment accounted for 51.4% and Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution (GTD) for 36.8% of revenue, while Commercial Motors and Appliance represented 7.6% and Coatings (Paints and Varnishes), 4.2%. In the domestic market, revenue from Industrial Electro-electronic Equipment grew 16.5% and GTD declined 22.9%, while Commercial Motors and Appliance advanced 3.5% and Coatings 7.5%. In the foreign market, changes were an increase of 1.9% in Industrial Electro-electronic Equipment, 5.8% in GTD, a 9.1% drop in Commercial Motors and Appliance and a 0.7% increase in Coatings, always compared to 2Q25.

EBITDA of R$ 2,259.5 mn in 2Q25 decreased to R$ 2,212.6 mn in 2Q26, impacted by changes of R$ 63.7 mn in cost of goods sold (excluding depreciation), R$ 21.9 mn in selling expenses, R$ 12.3 mn in general and administrative expenses and R$ 40.4 mn in other expenses, partially offset by a positive effect of R$ 47.6 mn in other income.

Investments (CAPEX) totaled R$ 794.9 mn in 2Q26, of which R$ 353.5 mn in Brazil and R$ 441.4 mn abroad, above the R$ 583.4 mn in 2Q25, when R$ 370.0 mn were allocated in Brazil and R$ 213.4 mn outside the country. According to the company, the outlook includes an investment plan to increase capacity in Brazil and abroad, positive foreign demand in industrial and GTD businesses and a normalized revenue comparison base that should contribute to a return to growth.
