In intraday trading this Thursday, the Ibovespa was down 0.91% at 169,449.10 points, while shares of Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV3) were up 39.57%, quoted at R$ 9.03. On the opposite side, Paranapanema (PMAM3) was down 13.79% at R$ 0.25, maintaining the formation of opposite poles compared with the latest updates in this session, when AZEV3 was already among the main upside highlights.
Among the biggest gainers of the session, AZEV3 remained the top performer at R$ 9.03 (+39.57%). Automob (AMOB3) ranked second, trading at R$ 9.33, up 8.49%. Azul (AZUL3) also appeared among the notable gainers, quoted at R$ 10.39, an 8.23% rise, after recent news mentioned raising up to R$ 2 billion in financing for fuel and the entry of American Airlines into its capital with a 7.94% stake.
Following the gainers, Gerdau (GGBR4) was trading at R$ 25.66, up 6.52%, while Metalúrgica Gerdau (GOAU4) rose 6.29% to R$ 11.32. Both companies had recently released adjusted earnings data and dividend payments, but today’s movement is concentrated in the prices observed in this intraday.
On the losing side, in addition to PMAM3 at R$ 0.25 (-13.79%), Braskem (BRKM5) fell 11.87%, trading at R$ 2.97, after recording a new extension of its restructuring plan in recent days. Movida (MOVI3) was quoted at R$ 5.98, down 9.39%, while JHSF Participações (JHSF3) dropped 9.38% to R$ 8.70. Enjoei (ENJU3) rounded out the group of the five biggest decliners at R$ 6.28, falling 8.99%.
As a result, compared with earlier notes from this session, AZEV3 slightly reduced its percentage move but remained the top gainer of the session, while BRKM5 intensified its intraday drop and PMAM3 moved into first place among the decliners, in a scenario where the Ibovespa remained in negative territory.
