At the close of Thursday’s trading session on B3, the Ibovespa ended up 0.24% at 185,992.03 points, while shares of Casas Bahia (BHIA3) climbed 9.33% to R$ 0.82 and OceanPact (OPCT3) fell 11.78% to R$ 9.21, posting the largest moves of the session among the main gainers and decliners tracked.
Among the day’s biggest gainers, Casas Bahia (BHIA3) led the way, rising 9.33% and closing the session at R$ 0.82. It was followed by Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV3), which finished the session up 8.74% at R$ 7.84. Gafisa (GFSA3), which throughout the session had already appeared among the positive highlights in earlier updates, ended the day up 8.33% at R$ 0.26. Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) closed with a gain of 4.38% at R$ 1.43, while Portobello (PTBL3) advanced 4.35% to R$ 1.68.
On the downside, OceanPact (OPCT3) posted the steepest loss of the session, dropping 11.78% and closing at R$ 9.21. CSN Mineração (CMIN3) ended the day down 6.09% at R$ 5.71. Grupo SBF (SBFG3) retreated 5.70% to R$ 8.11, and Cury (CURY3) fell 5.64%, ending the session at R$ 28.75. Biomm (BIOM3) rounded out the list of the five biggest losers, with a 5.30% drop and a closing price of R$ 6.26.
Regarding the intraday updates during this session, the Ibovespa, which earlier at times had shown gains close to 0.5%, ended the day with a more moderate rise of 0.24%. Gafisa (GFSA3), which at one point had been up 25.0% in earlier updates, gave back part of its intraday gains and closed with an 8.33% increase. OceanPact (OPCT3), which had fluctuated between losses of around 11.4% and more than 12% during the day, finished with a decline of 11.78%.
