Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais – Cemig (CMIG4) and its wholly owned subsidiary Cemig Geração e Transmissão S.A. reported this Friday, August 28, 2026, that the Ministry of Mines and Energy has decided to extend the concession for the Sá Carvalho Hydroelectric Plant for 30 years, with the new term starting on August 31, 2026.

According to the announcement, after being called to sign, Cemig will have 210 days to execute the new concession amendment for the plant.
