Lojas Quero-Quero (LJQQ3) posted a net loss of R$ 51.2 m in the second quarter of 2026 (2Q26). In the period, gross revenue, net of returns and discounts, totaled R$ 834.5 m, up 9.7% from 2Q25, while EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) came to R$ 32.6 m, an increase of 12.6% on the same comparison.
In 2Q26, net operating revenue was R$ 726.3 m, an increase of 8.8% from the same quarter of 2025. Gross profit was practically stable at R$ 216.0 m, with a gross margin of 25.9% on net gross revenue, 2.4 percentage points below 2Q25. Same-store sales (SSS) grew 6.7% in the quarter, and the company opened 3 new stores, closing June with 576 units.
By segment, retail accounted for R$ 562.0 m of net gross revenue after returns, an increase of 8.0% vs. 2Q25, while financial services totaled R$ 244.5 m, up 13.7%, and the credit card business generated R$ 28.0 m, an increase of 10.7%. The net interest-bearing VerdeCard portfolio reached R$ 1,047 m, up 15.1% in one year, with loans over 90 days past due equivalent to 12.5%, compared with 11.7% in 2Q25.
Operating expenses totaled R$ 219.2 m in 2Q26, a nominal decline of 0.9% versus the same period of the previous year, with selling expenses of R$ 156.0 m and general and administrative expenses of R$ 67.3 m. Net financial result was an expense of R$ 43.1 m, 5.2% higher than in 2Q25. Adjusted EBITDA, which excludes the stock option plan, IFRS 16 effects and non-recurring items, was R$ 2.1 m, versus R$ 2.9 m a year earlier.
On June 30, 2026, Lojas Quero-Quero’s adjusted net debt was R$ 398.9 m, in line with the R$ 396.5 m reported a year earlier, with an adjusted net debt/EBITDA ratio for the last 12 months of 2.9x. In the quarter, investments totaled R$ 10.0 m, down 26.5% year over year, including the opening of 3 stores, remodels, maintenance, and spending on logistics and information technology.
