Grupo Energisa (ENGI11) reported consolidated electricity consumption of 22,018 GWh in the first half of 2026, up 4.0% compared to the same period of the previous year, considering captive and free markets in all concessions. The result was mainly driven by the residential, industrial, and commercial customer classes, with the impact of organic growth, the addition of new loads, expansion of employment and income, favorable weather conditions in the Northern concessions, the reading schedule, and the performance of the food and minerals chain.
In the second quarter of 2026, the group’s total energy market reached 10,983 GWh, growth of 4.5% versus 2Q25, driven by the residential, commercial, and industrial classes. The residential class reflected market expansion, higher income, a stronger labor market, higher temperatures in part of the concessions, and a positive effect from the reading schedule in some months. The commercial class advanced with a standout performance from retail, wholesale, and healthcare, while the industrial class benefited from higher consumption of food and minerals.
In June 2026, consolidated consumption reached 3,498 GWh, an increase of 4.3% year over year, driven by the residential, commercial, and industrial classes. In the residential segment, the increase was associated with organic growth, higher income, a stronger labor market, and the reading schedule effect, which was greater in 8 of the 9 distributors; without this effect, growth would have been 2.4%. The industrial class was favored by higher consumption of food and minerals, and the commercial class by the retail, wholesale, and healthcare segments.
Regionally, in the 2026 year to date, consumption in the Midwest concessions totaled 9,044 GWh, up 5.2% versus 2025, with a highlight for Energisa Mato Grosso (EMT), which grew 6.3%, and Energisa Mato Grosso do Sul (EMS), with 3.2%. In the Northeast, consumption reached 5,099 GWh, an increase of 3.9%, driven by Energisa Sergipe (ESE), with 4.3%, and Energisa Paraíba (EPB), with 3.6%. In the North region, the total was 4,270 GWh, a variation of 3.3%, influenced by Energisa Rondônia (ERO), Energisa Tocantins (ETO), and Energisa Acre (EAC). In the South/Southeast, consumption reached 3,604 GWh, growth of 1.9%, with Energisa Minas Rio (EMR) and Energisa Sul-Sudeste (ESS) advancing 2.0% and 1.9%, respectively.
In the 12-month period ended in the second quarter of 2026, the group’s total energy losses stood at 12.28% of injected energy, compared to 12.04% in 2Q25, according to preliminary data obtained from ANEEL’s databases. Losses varied among distributors, with EMR at 7.83%, ESS at 6.51%, ESE at 9.75%, EPB at 11.82%, EMT at 14.00%, EMS at 11.94%, ETO at 9.70%, EAC at 14.94%, and ERO at 19.89%.
