At the close of Wednesday’s session on B3, the Ibovespa ended down 0.86% at 185,814.09 points, maintaining the negative trend seen in earlier updates throughout the day. Among the highlights of the session, shares of Recrusul (RCSL4) ended the session at R$ 0.34, up 13.33%, while Paranapanema (PMAM3) closed at R$ 0.34, down 10.53%. Among the index components, the moves in Cosan (CSAN3) and Petrobras (PETR4) also stood out.
On the positive side, RCSL4 extended the gains seen throughout the day and secured the session’s top performance, with a 13.33% rise and a closing price of R$ 0.34. Cosan (CSAN3) ended the day at R$ 3.88, up 3.74%. Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) closed at R$ 6.10, a gain of 3.39%. Even (EVEN3), which recently reported profit of R$ 77 million in the first half of 2026, ended the session at R$ 4.43, up 3.26%. Petrobras (PETR4), after recently announcing fuel subsidies for gasoline and diesel and new production-sharing contracts in Côte d’Ivoire, closed at R$ 49.72, up 2.83%.
On the downside, Paranapanema (PMAM3) posted the sharpest drop of the session, falling 10.53% to end the day at R$ 0.34, after a week in which the company was in the spotlight for corporate moves, including news that investor João Carlos Correa de Vargas came to hold 27% of the common shares. Helbor Empreendimentos (HBOR3) slid 7.59%, closing at R$ 2.07. Pague Menos (PGMN3) ended the session at R$ 3.75, down 7.41%, the same negative move as Braskem (BRKM5), which closed at R$ 4.00 amid the recent announcement of a tender offer filing (Oferta Pública de Aquisição – OPA) related to a change in control. IRB Brasil (IRBR3) rounded out the list of biggest losers, dropping 6.49% to close at R$ 59.22.
Compared with earlier marks in this session, the Ibovespa, which had previously been recorded at 186,466.47 points (-0.50%) and then at 185,926.11 points (-0.80%), ended the day deepening the decline to 0.86%. RCSL4 maintained its strong upside, moving from +10.00% in the first readings to +13.33% at the close, while PMAM3 held its negative move close to -10.53% through the end of the session.
