At the close of Wednesday’s trading session on B3, the Ibovespa ended up 3.04%, at 185,205.09 points. Among the session’s highlights, Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) advanced 16.88%, to R$ 5.40, while Casas Bahia (BHIA3) fell 21.11%, to R$ 0.71, keeping the stock among the biggest losers since the latest updates of this session.
On the day’s top gainers list, Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) led the ranking, with a 16.88% increase and a closing price of R$ 5.40. Dotz (DOTZ3) rose 15.35%, quoted at R$ 12.85, and Grupo Vamos (VAMO3) ended the session at R$ 3.43, up 15.10%. Braskem (BRKM5) finished the session at R$ 4.88, an increase of 15.09%, while Recrusul (RCSL4) closed at R$ 0.47, after a 14.63% gain.
On the negative side, Casas Bahia (BHIA3) posted the biggest drop of the session, down 21.11% with a final price of R$ 0.71, extending the downward move seen throughout the day compared with earlier partial readings. Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) fell 7.27%, closing at R$ 1.53. Rumo Logística (RAIL3) closed at R$ 14.68, down 4.05%, while Cosan (CSAN3) ended the session at R$ 3.82, a 3.78% decline. OranjeBTC (OBTC3) rounded out the list of the five biggest losses, dropping 3.75% to R$ 6.16.
Compared with earlier updates in this session, the Ibovespa consolidated a larger gain by the end of trading, moving from an intraday increase of 2.93% to 3.04%. MGLU3 gave back part of the gains seen earlier, when it rose more than 20% during the day, but still closed as the session’s top gainer. Meanwhile, BHIA3 held a drop of around 21%, consistently ranking among the main negative standouts on B3.
