Midway through Wednesday’s session, the Ibovespa was up 0.19% at 174,908.24 points, while common shares of Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) were rising 30.51% at R$ 2.31, and Braskem class A preferred shares (BRKM5) were gaining 15.91% at R$ 4.08. Among the biggest decliners of the day, Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) was down 6.25% at R$ 1.80.

Compared with the latest updates from this session, AZEV4 slightly narrowed its move, from an earlier 32.77% jump to a 30.51% gain in the early afternoon, remaining the top gainer of the trading session. BRKM5 also moderated its advance, after having posted a 16.19% rise earlier, and was now trading up 15.91% at R$ 4.08. Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) was among the biggest gainers, up 11.41% at R$ 1.66.

Within the group of the five largest gains, in addition to AZEV4, BRKM5 and AZTE3, there were Gafisa (GFSA3), which was trading at R$ 0.23, up 9.52%, and Portobello (PTBL3), quoted at R$ 1.51, with a gain of 9.42%.

On the negative side, Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) remained the biggest drop of the session, at R$ 1.80, down 6.25%. Qualicorp (QUAL3) fell 4.88% to R$ 1.56, while Raízen (RAIZ4) declined 4.35% to R$ 0.22. Among other notable losers, Estapar (ALPK3) traded at R$ 4.13, down 3.50%, and Assai (ASAI3) dropped 2.39% to R$ 8.17.

As a result, compared with the first hours of trading, the Ibovespa, which had previously been recorded with a slight 0.28% decline in an earlier report, moved into positive territory, up 0.19%, while AZEV4 and BRKM5 remained among the main upside highlights and ONCO3 kept its position among the biggest losers of the session.
