Midway through Wednesday’s trading session, the Ibovespa was down 0.01% at 174,558.01 points, while Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) extended gains to R$ 2.35, up 32.77%. Braskem (BRKM5) was also among the top gainers, advancing 16.19% to R$ 4.09. Moving in the opposite direction, Raízen (RAIZ4) posted the biggest loss at the moment, dropping 4.35% to R$ 0.22.
Since the last update of this session, AZEV4 has intensified its move, going from an intraday gain of 31.64% to 32.77%, remaining the top performer of the session so far. Another stock from the group, Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3), was up 16.11%, quoted at R$ 1.73. Portobello (PTBL3) rose 8.70% to R$ 1.50, while Paranapanema (PMAM3) gained 7.14% to R$ 0.15, rounding out the five biggest gainers in the early afternoon.
On the downside, RAIZ4 remained the main negative highlight, trading at R$ 0.22 after a 4.35% drop. Estapar (ALPK3) fell 2.34% to R$ 4.18, and Even (EVEN3) lost 2.22%, quoted at R$ 4.41. Profarma Distribuição (PFRM3) slipped 2.14% to R$ 7.30, and COMPASS (PASS3) posted a 2.07% loss to R$ 22.68, ranking among the five biggest declines of this B3 session.
Compared with the start of the trading day, the Ibovespa has pared back the intensity of its loss, moving from a 0.28% drop seen in the previous update to a slight 0.01% decline at the current level of 174,558.01 points, while individual stocks continue to show significant swings throughout the day.
