On Tuesday afternoon, the Ibovespa was up 1.48%, at 174,438.80 points, in a stronger move than in earlier partial readings of the session. Among the most volatile stocks, Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) was up 15.79%, at R$ 1.76, while Paranapanema (PMAM3) was down 13.33%, at R$ 0.13.

On the gainers’ side, in addition to ONCO3, Anima Educação (ANIM3) stood out, quoted at R$ 2.74, up 9.16%. Plano & Plano (PLPL3) was up 9.12%, at R$ 7.42, followed by Lojas Quero-Quero (LJQQ3), which was up 9.09%, at R$ 1.20. Armac (ARML3) rounded out the list of the five biggest gainers at the moment, trading at R$ 3.72, up 7.83%.

On the losers’ side, after already featuring among the main decliners in earlier reports, PMAM3 held a 13.33% drop, at R$ 0.13. Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) was trading at R$ 1.38, down 9.21%, while Braskem (BRKM5) fell 9.09%, to R$ 4.30. The preferred shares of Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) were down 5.33%, at R$ 1.60, and Gafisa (GFSA3) was quoted at R$ 0.22, down 4.35%.

Compared with earlier updates in this session, the Ibovespa extended its gains, moving from the 173,400-point range to the current 174,438.80 points. ONCO3, which had already been among the top gainers with advances of 11.84% and then 13.16% over the course of the day, accelerated to 15.79%. On the downside, PMAM3 kept the same 13.33% decline seen in the latest reports, while AZTE3 eased the pace of losses, after having dropped 12.50% in the middle of the session.
