At the end of Thursday’s session on B3, the Ibovespa closed up 1.85% at 171,031.73 points, while Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) jumped 21.09% to R$ 1.78 and Paranapanema (PMAM3) fell 7.14% to R$ 0.13, as the biggest gainer and biggest decliner of the session, respectively. Compared with the latest updates from this session, AZEV4 extended its gains from the previously reported +17.69%, and PMAM3 kept the same percentage change of -7.14% seen mid-session.
Among the top gainers, in addition to AZEV4, Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) closed at R$ 1.42, advancing 15.45%. Next, DASA (DASA3) ended the day quoted at R$ 2.58, up 12.66%, Portobello (PTBL3) closed at R$ 1.56, rising 12.23%, and Americanas (AMER3) ended at R$ 4.66, gaining 9.65%. Compared with the previous report in which AZTE3 led the gains, the close consolidated AZEV4 as the day’s top performer, with AZTE3 remaining among the main positive highlights.
On the losing side, after PMAM3, Banco Mercantil (BMEB4) closed at R$ 61.42, down 5.51%, while Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) ended the session at R$ 1.22, a drop of 5.43%. Azul (AZUL3) finished the day quoted at R$ 19.31, retreating 3.45%, and Metalúrgica Gerdau (GOAU4) closed at R$ 9.85, down 0.81%. Compared with this session’s intraday readings, BMEB4 reduced the intensity of its decline versus the earlier -7.38%, but remained among the biggest negative moves of the day on B3.
