Midway through Thursday’s session, the Ibovespa was up 1.80% at 170,958.72 points, slowing down from earlier partial readings, when it had reached 171,733.32 points. Among the standout stocks, Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) was at R$ 1.72, up 17.01%, while Paranapanema (PMAM3) fell to R$ 0.13, down 7.14%.

After appearing among the top gainers in earlier updates, Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) remained in positive territory, trading at R$ 1.39, up 13.01%. Portobello (PTBL3) was trading at R$ 1.56, a gain of 12.23%. DASA (DASA3), which had already stood out during the session with similar moves, was still higher at R$ 2.55, advancing 11.35%. Ser Educacional (SEER3) rounded out the list of the five biggest gainers, at R$ 11.12, up 8.38%.

Among the biggest decliners, in addition to PMAM3, down 7.14%, Banco Mercantil (BMEB4) was at R$ 60.72, a drop of 6.58%. Braskem (BRKM5), which had recently been among the week’s notable losers, was trading at R$ 4.90, down 3.92%. Azul (AZUL3) was at R$ 19.70, with a negative move of 1.50%, while Metalúrgica Gerdau (GOAU4) was quoted at R$ 9.83, down 1.01%.

As a result, compared with the latest updates of this session, AZEV4 took over as the top intraday gainer, surpassing the earlier gains seen in BHIA3 and AZTE3 at different moments of the trading day, while PMAM3 remained among the main losers, repeating the position observed midway through the session.
