On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, Companhia de Saneamento do Paraná – Sanepar (SAPR4) reported that the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Agency for Delegated Public Services of Paraná (AGEPAR), in a meeting held on August 18, 2026, denied the administrative appeal filed by the company against Technical Note No. 002/2026-GTI-AGEPAR. In the appeal, Sanepar sought to maintain the proportion established in AGEPAR Technical Note No. 07/2024, of 75% for tariff affordability and 25% for the company, in addition to applying the discount linearly to users.
At the same meeting, AGEPAR’s Board of Directors granted Sanepar’s request to extend, for thirty days, the implementation of the tariff discount set forth in Technical Note No. 002/2026-GTI-AGEPAR. According to the company, the extension is based on the need to develop and safely parameterize the commercial systems to ensure the correct application of the discount to users.
Sanepar also stated that it will continue to pursue all appropriate legal measures to safeguard its rights and interests.
