On Thursday, August 13, 2026, Compass Gás e Energia (PASS3) released its results for the second quarter of 2026 (2Q26), reporting net income of R$ 287.169 million, a 19% decline compared to 2Q25. In the period, consolidated EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) totaled R$ 1,274.809 million, an increase of 5% year over year, while gross profit came to R$ 1,021.083 million, a decrease of 3%.

According to the company, 2Q26 performance reflects higher EBITDA, offset by an increase in net financial expenses, which reached R$ 473.393 million (up 21%), and higher depreciation and amortization, which totaled R$ 361.042 million (up 14%), mainly due to new projects entering into operation. Income tax and social contribution came to R$ 153.205 million, slightly below the amount recorded in the same quarter of 2025.

By segment, Gas Distribution EBITDA reached R$ 1,242.242 million in 2Q26, growth of 6% versus 2Q25, supported by a better volume mix in the residential and commercial classes, which offset lower industrial demand. The Marketing & Services segment, in turn, reported EBITDA of R$ 140.261 million, up 50% year over year, driven by higher volumes in the free market and by load optimizations carried out in the period.

In the first six months of 2026 (6M26), Compass’s net income was R$ 669.423 million, down 13% from 6M25, while consolidated EBITDA totaled R$ 2,603.736 million, an increase of 4%. Gross profit for the half-year was R$ 1,878.815 million, 1% higher than in the same period of the previous year.

The company’s net debt closed 2Q26 at R$ 11,505.675 million, an increase of 3% compared to 1Q26, after the distribution in June of R$ 406 million in shareholder payouts related to the minimum mandatory dividends for fiscal year 2025. Leverage, measured by the net debt/EBITDA ratio for the last 12 months, stood at 2.3x, with gross debt of R$ 16,106.661 million, an average term of 5.6 years and an average cost equivalent to 99.9% of the CDI.
