Cruzeiro do Sul Educacional (CSED3) reported that, in 2026, the Secretariat for Regulation and Supervision of Higher Education (SERES) of the Ministry of Education authorized, through Ordinance No. 400 of August 6, 2026, an increase of 146 annual openings in the undergraduate Medicine program at Centro Universitário de Pinhais - FAPI, in Paraná. As a result, the total annual number of openings for this program rose from 154 to 300.
Following this decision, the base of openings for Medicine programs operated by Cruzeiro do Sul Educacional totals 1,275 annual openings, distributed among FAPI (300), UNICID (276), Universidade Positivo (219), UNIPÊ (140), UNIFRAN (100), CEUNSP (60), FSG (60), CESUCA (60), and Módulo (60).
The material fact also recalls that, as stated in the June 12, 2024 notice regarding the closing of the FAPI acquisition, there is a provision for payment of a contingent installment (earn-out) to the sellers, subject to the obtainment of additional openings in the Medicine program. The amount is approximately R$ 185 million, divided into three annual installments: 50% within up to 30 days from the publication of the ordinance, 20% on the first anniversary of the first payment, and 30% on the second anniversary, net of commissions, fees, and adjustments provided for in the agreement.
