At the end of Wednesday’s session on B3, the Ibovespa closed up 2.43%, at 177,547.57 points. Among the day’s highlights, CVC (CVCB3) climbed 12.50% to R$ 1.26, consolidating itself as the top gainer of the day, while Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) fell 10.00% to R$ 0.63, posting the sharpest drop.

On the positive side, in addition to CVCB3, shares of WEG (WEGE3) rose 9.47%, closing at R$ 46.49. Viveo (VVEO3) ended the session priced at R$ 0.66, up 8.20%. Braskem (BRKM5) closed at R$ 6.11, a gain of 7.01%, and Marfrig Global Foods (MBRF3) ended the day at R$ 16.14 after a positive move of 6.82%. These stocks were among the five biggest gainers of the session, extending the gains seen in earlier intraday partials.

On the losing side, Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) maintained its 10.00% drop, at R$ 0.63, already observed in previous updates. Casas Bahia (BHIA3) closed at R$ 0.83, down 8.79%. Paranapanema (PMAM3) ended the day at R$ 0.30, after a 6.25% decline. Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) closed the session at R$ 1.30, a loss of 3.70%, while Enjoei (ENJU3) finished at R$ 0.84, down 2.33%. These five stocks made up the group of the day’s biggest decliners.

Compared with the partial quotes released throughout the session, the Ibovespa accelerated its advance to 2.43% at the close, while CVCB3 slightly pared its move from the intraday peak reported earlier, but remained the top gainer of the day. ONCO3, in turn, held its 10.00% loss through the close of trading, consolidating its position as the session’s biggest loser.
