Banco do Brasil (BBAS3) reported this Wednesday, July 22, 2026, that it is taking the necessary steps to make new credit lines available for the renegotiation of rural debts of clients affected by extreme weather events or by lower selling prices, in accordance with Provisional Measure 1,376/2026, published on July 15, 2026.

According to the bank, the effective operation of these credit lines still depends on the issuance of supplementary regulations by the National Monetary Council (CMN) and on a normative act from the Ministry of Finance, which will define the remaining applicable conditions, including those related to the equalization of financial charges.

Banco do Brasil assessed that Provisional Measure 1,376/2026 may contribute to rebalancing cash flow and restoring the financial situation of rural producers, supporting the continuity of their productive activities.

At this time, the institution states that it is not possible to estimate the impacts of the Provisional Measure on the bank’s financial, equity and earnings indicators, as these effects will depend, among other factors, on the final conditions to be established in the regulations and on the volume that ends up being renegotiated with eligible rural producers, in accordance with Banco do Brasil’s Specific Credit Policy.

Banco do Brasil also reiterated its commitment to transparency and the fair disclosure of information and reported that it will announce any new material facts on the subject as soon as they are deemed important.
