Braskem (BRKM3, BRKM5, BRKM6) reported on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, that it remains in discussions with creditors in the context of a possible reorganization of its capital structure, in line with processes initiated in 2025 and detailed in Material Facts released in September 2025 and June 2026.
According to the company, specialized financial and legal advisors have been hired to support the preparation of an assessment of economic and financial alternatives to optimize the capital structure. Since then, Braskem and certain holders and investment managers of the company’s Senior Notes and debentures (medium- and long-term debt securities issued by companies) have been exchanging information and indicative, non-binding proposals regarding the terms and conditions of a potential restructuring.
The company notes that, as stated in the Material Facts of June 25 and 26, 2026, the 2nd Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganization Court of São Paulo granted requests in a precautionary emergency relief lawsuit filed by Braskem and certain subsidiaries, including the suspension for 60 days of enforcement actions and liens by creditors invited to participate in mediation at the Câmara Wind de Mediação.
Braskem states that, since then, it has been receiving purely indicative and non-binding proposals from groups of creditors regarding tentative conditions and parameters for a potential restructuring, which are still under review by the company. The company reiterates that it is committed to continuing discussions with financial creditors in search of a consensual, structural and orderly solution for its capital structure, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of operations in the normal course of business.
