Lam Research (LRCX) announced on November 5, 2026 that its board of directors approved a new share repurchase (buyback) authorization of up to $25 billion in common stock and a quarterly dividend of $0.33 per share.

The authorization supplements the remaining balances of the previous program. Purchases may be made on the open market and in private transactions, and may include derivative contracts and structured repurchase agreements. The program has no end date, may be suspended or terminated at any time, and does not obligate the company to purchase any number of shares.

The dividend will be paid on January 6, 2027 to shareholders of record as of December 2, 2026. Future payments are subject to board review and approval.

CFO Doug Bettinger said: "The repurchase authorization announced today reinforces our capital allocation plan and our commitment to returning value to shareholders through dividends and buybacks." According to him, the company's positioning at technology inflection points and its cash generation give confidence in meeting its capital return objectives over time.

At the annual meeting on November 3, 2026, all 10 board nominees were elected, executive compensation was approved in an advisory vote, and KPMG was ratified as auditor for fiscal year 2027. A shareholder proposal to make it easier to call special meetings received 42.22% of votes in favor and was not approved.
