Verisk (VRSK) reported net income of US$ 219 million in the third quarter of 2026, down 2.8% from US$ 226 million in the same period a year earlier. According to the company, the decline was driven by losses on investments measured at cost and higher net interest expense, partially offset by the scale gains from revenue growth. Revenue totaled US$ 809 million, up 5.3%.

Earnings per share (EPS) were US$ 1.70, up 5.6% from US$ 1.61 in 3Q25. Adjusted EPS (non-GAAP, excluding items the company considers non-recurring) came in at US$ 1.96, up 14.0%. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, with adjustments) was US$ 459 million, up 7.0%, with a margin of 56.7%.

By segment, Underwriting revenue was US$ 568 million (up 4.8%) and Claims revenue was US$ 241 million (up 6.6%). On an organic constant-currency basis (non-GAAP), total revenue rose 7.4%.

Cash generated from operations was US$ 267 million, down 33.8%. Free cash flow (non-GAAP) was US$ 200 million, down 40.5%, due to the timing of collections, higher interest payments and a tax refund in the prior year that did not recur.

Verisk paid a dividend of US$ 0.50 per share on September 30, 2026 and executed an accelerated share repurchase (buyback) program of US$ 100 million, with US$ 700 million remaining under the authorization. The board approved a new dividend of US$ 0.50 per share, to be paid on December 31, 2026 to shareholders of record on December 15, 2026. The 2026 guidance was maintained: revenue of US$ 3.19 billion to US$ 3.24 billion, adjusted EBITDA of US$ 1.79 billion to US$ 1.83 billion and adjusted EPS of US$ 7.45 to US$ 7.75.
