At the close of today’s session on B3, the Ibovespa ended up 1.37% at 209,066.90 points, extending the gains recorded throughout the day. Among the highlights of the trading session, Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV3) closed at R$ 10.30, up 43.25%, while MRV Engenharia e Participações (MRVE3) ended the session at R$ 7.93, an increase of 23.33%. On the negative side, Telefônica Brasil (VIVT3) closed at R$ 30.35, down 5.25%.
AZEV3 remained the top gainer of the session, after intense swings throughout the afternoon. The share closed at R$ 10.30, up 43.25%, after having traded at +49.51% earlier in the session. Among the other gainers, MRVE3 advanced steadily throughout the day and closed at R$ 7.93, up 23.33%, above the +20.68% recorded in the previous partial update. Lojas Quero-Quero (LJQQ3) ended the session at R$ 2.92, gaining 21.16%, while Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) closed at R$ 12.22, up 19.22%. Portobello (PTBL3) rounded out the group of the five biggest gainers, quoted at R$ 3.28, an increase of 17.99%.
On the losing side, VIVT3 solidified its position as the biggest decliner of the day, closing at R$ 30.35, down 5.25%, after having shown -5.21% in the previous update. TIM (TIMS3) also ended in negative territory, at R$ 18.10, down 4.18%. Caixa Seguridade (CXSE3) closed the session at R$ 20.71, a drop of 3.22%. Among the stocks with smaller pullbacks within the five biggest decliners, Track & Field (TFCO4) ended at R$ 15.49, down 2.58%, while Auren Energia (AURE3) closed at R$ 15.67, with a loss of 2.43%.
At the end of the session, B3’s scoreboard showed the Ibovespa up 1.37% and a trading day marked by sharp gains in AZEV3, MRVE3, LJQQ3, MGLU3 and PTBL3, offset by declines in VIVT3, TIMS3, CXSE3, TFCO4 and AURE3, which concentrated the biggest losses of the day.
