In the mid-afternoon this Friday (10/09), the Ibovespa was up 1.21% at 208,730.09 points, maintaining the positive performance seen in earlier session updates. Among the standouts, Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV3) was the top gainer of the trading session, quoted at R$ 9.98, up 38.80%, while Telefônica Brasil (VIVT3) posted the biggest loss of the day so far, at R$ 30.40, down 5.09%.
AZEV3 gave back part of the gain seen in the previous update, when it had climbed as much as 48.68%, but remained in the lead among the session’s top performers. Next, MRV Engenharia e Participações (MRVE3) was trading at R$ 7.61, up 18.35%, above the 12.29% recorded in the earlier update. Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) appeared among the biggest gainers at R$ 12.00, an intraday advance of 17.07%.
Other notable gainers included Lojas Quero-Quero (LJQQ3), quoted at R$ 2.80, up 16.18%, and Casas Bahia (BHIA3), at R$ 1.65, rising 13.79%. Thus, the group of top advances in the session was concentrated in consumer-related stocks, alongside the construction sector, with MRVE3 among the biggest movers of the afternoon.
On the downside, VIVT3 extended losses compared with earlier session reports, deepening from a 3.43% drop to 5.09%, remaining the sharpest decline among the monitored stocks. TIM (TIMS3) showed the second-steepest drop, at R$ 18.14, down 3.97%. Enjoei (ENJU3) fell 3.00% to R$ 7.76, while Track & Field (TFCO4) slipped 2.52% to R$ 15.50, and Caixa Seguridade (CXSE3) retreated 2.48%, trading at R$ 20.87.
As a result, at 3:40 p.m., the Ibovespa was still up 1.21%, with, on one side, the biggest positive moves concentrated in AZEV3, MRVE3, MGLU3, LJQQ3 and BHIA3, and, on the other side, the sharpest declines in VIVT3, TIMS3, ENJU3, TFCO4 and CXSE3.
