Grupo Casas Bahia (BHIA3) reported in a notice this Wednesday, October 7, 2026, that it had responded to an official request from the Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM) regarding a news article published on October 5, 2026, about a preliminary verification report prepared in the context of the company’s and its subsidiaries’ judicial reorganization filing.
According to the company, the report was prepared by ACFB Administração Judicial Ltda. as a preliminary technical work, ordered by the Judicial Reorganization Court, to verify points such as the operating conditions of the stores, distribution centers and digital platform, the regularity of legally required documentation, relevant and essential contracts, the percentage of down payments assigned as fiduciary collateral and the impact on 30-day cash flow, as well as the status of essential services.
Casas Bahia states that the expert document is preliminary and informational in nature and that the considerations presented reflect exclusively the analysis and methodology of the court-appointed expert, based on the expert’s own procedures and on public data or information provided by the company, and do not represent nor are they aligned with the company’s own views on these same topics.
The company also reports that the report has not been subject to adversarial proceedings nor reviewed by the Judicial Reorganization Court and, therefore, it believes that the mere filing of this material in the case records has no effects on the company, its creditors, or its securities and does not constitute a material fact under CVM Resolution No. 44/2021.
In the same notice, Grupo Casas Bahia reaffirms its commitment to transparency and to fulfilling its disclosure obligations, stating that it remains available to CVM and B3 to provide further clarifications, if necessary.
