On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, Vale (VALE3) announced that it will begin the partial restart of operations at the Fábrica Mine, located in Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, after authorization granted by the Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais, based on a Commitment Agreement signed between the company, the State Public Prosecutor’s Office and the State of Minas Gerais.

According to Vale, the restart will observe applicable safety, environmental control, licenses, authorizations and other conditions, in addition to the continuity of the actions set out in the Commitment Agreement. The company emphasized that this partial restart does not change current production projections.
