IRB Brasil Resseguros (IRBR3) reported in a notice on Friday, September 4, 2026, that on September 3, 2026 it received the resignation of Jorge Lauriano Nicolai Sant’Anna from the position of alternate to the chair of the company’s Board of Directors.
The resignation occurs in the context of the nomination, by the Federal Government, in its capacity as holder of IRB Brasil’s golden share, of Debora Freire Cardoso for the position of alternate to the chair of the Board of Directors. The company will adopt the procedures for the election of the nominee as soon as the prior consultation process with the Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) is concluded.
Debora Freire Cardoso is currently secretary of the Economic Policy Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, holds a PhD in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), with a research stay at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Applied Economics.
