IRB Brasil Resseguros (IRBR3) reported on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, that rating agency AM Best Rating Services reaffirmed the company’s Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-” (Excellent). AM Best also maintained the Brazil National Scale Rating (NSR) at “aaa.BR” (Exceptional), with a stable outlook for all ratings.

According to AM Best’s press release, the ratings reflect IRB’s balance sheet strength, assessed by the agency at the strongest level, in addition to adequate operating performance, neutral business profile, and appropriate enterprise risk management. AM Best is a global credit rating agency focused exclusively on the insurance and reinsurance sector.
