On Thursday afternoon (28), the Ibovespa was up 0.29% at 175,636.91 points, moving in the opposite direction from the final hours of the previous session, while Casas Bahia (BHIA3) was rising 17.65% to R$ 0.40 and Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) was falling 21.20% to R$ 1.45, topping the gainers and losers lists of the session so far.
BHIA3 widened gains compared to earlier in the session, when it reached R$ 0.37 (+8.82%), then moved to R$ 0.41 (+20.6%) and was later quoted at R$ 0.43 (+26.5%). It is now trading at R$ 0.40, still leading the day’s advances. Among other gainers, Triunfo (TPIS3) was at R$ 9.70, up 12.79%, while Portobello (PTBL3) was trading at R$ 1.57, a gain of 6.80%.
Also on the winners’ list, Ambipar (AMBP3), which recently announced a new date for its creditors’ meeting, was at R$ 0.17, up 6.25%. Next, Dotz (DOTZ3) was quoted at R$ 10.22, an increase of 4.29%, rounding out the five biggest gains of the afternoon on B3.
On the losing side, AZEV4, from Azevedo & Travassos, was down to R$ 1.45, a drop of 21.20%, after the company, in recent days, reported the granting of the Rota Mogiana concession. The company’s preferred share was the biggest decline of the session. Right behind it, Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) was down 14.94% at R$ 1.31, and Recrusul (RCSL4), which had been among the top movers in recent sessions, was down 14.29% at R$ 0.42.
Among other notable losers, Oncoclínicas (ONCO3), which recently recorded rulings by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM) related to a tender offer (OPA) and an out-of-court reorganization plan, was trading at R$ 1.22, down 11.59%. Viveo (VVEO3), which announced a potential reverse stock split subject to approval at a shareholders’ meeting, was down 6.94% at R$ 0.67, closing out the group of the five biggest losses of the afternoon.
