At the close of Wednesday’s session, the Ibovespa rose 0.32% to 175,135.41 points, in a trading day marked by sharp swings in specific stocks. Among the top movers of the day on B3, Braskem (BRKM5) closed up 20.74% at R$ 4.25, while Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) ended the session down 28.13% at R$ 1.38.
Compared with the latest intraday updates, Braskem extended its gains: previously up 19.60%, it ultimately closed with a 20.74% advance, cementing its position as the top gainer of the session among listed stocks. Also among the leading gainers were Helbor Empreendimentos (HBOR3), which closed at R$ 2.22, up 8.29%, and Viveo (VVEO3), which rose 7.46%, finishing the day at R$ 0.72.
Rounding out the group of the day’s five biggest gainers, Paranapanema (PMAM3) ended the session at R$ 0.15 after a 7.14% increase, and TOTVS (TOTS3) closed at R$ 34.87, up 6.96%. These moves underscored the presence of companies from different sectors among the day’s main advances, with no concentration in a specific segment.
On the losing side, Oncoclínicas kept to a downward path throughout the afternoon. The stock, which had already been among the main losers in earlier updates, ended the day down 28.13% at R$ 1.38, marking the steepest drop of the session. Next, Recrusul (RCSL4) fell 14.04%, closing at R$ 0.49.
The group of biggest losers also included Grupo Pão de Açúcar - GPA (PCAR3), which finished the session priced at R$ 2.80 after a 6.35% decline. Ambipar (AMBP3) retreated 5.88% to R$ 0.16, while Casas Bahia (BHIA3) closed the day at R$ 0.34, down 5.56%. As a result, the session ended with a moderate gain for the Ibovespa and wide dispersion among the individual performances of the most volatile stocks.
