Grupo Casas Bahia (BHIA3) reported in a statement on Friday, August 21, 2026, that, in light of news carried in the media about an alleged Federal Police investigation related to “manipulation in Casas Bahia’s target-setting systems,” it has not received any notice, summons, official letter, request, or formal communication from authorities on the matter and says it is not aware of any such investigation or ongoing proceeding.

The company added that its accounting records and financial statements are prepared in accordance with the accounting rules and principles applicable to its activities, as approved by the Federal Accounting Council and the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission, and are audited by top-tier independent auditors, who have made no comments regarding accounting irregularities in their public reports.

Grupo Casas Bahia also reiterated its commitment to transparency and to complying with applicable laws and regulations.
