On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Itaúsa (ITSA4) reported that it increased its stake in Aegea Saneamento e Participações S.A. through a capital increase at the investee. In the process, Aegea issued 37,979,634 new common shares at a price of R$ 55.29 per share, of which Itaúsa subscribed to 13,231,706 shares, totaling approximately R$ 732 million and raising its stake from 13.27% to 14.01% of total capital.

The deadline for Aegea shareholders to pay up the subscribed shares is five business days from August 5, 2026. According to Itaúsa, the funds used for the capital injection will come from its own cash and no material effects are expected on the company’s results for this fiscal year.
